Zagreb's Regent Esplanade voted best luxury city hotel

Zagreb's Regent Esplanade hotel has won the World Luxury Hotel Award 2011 as the best luxury city hotel.

The award was presented at a ceremony at this five-star hotel on Friday evening, with many guests from the world hotel industry and Croatian public figures attending.

Over 1,000 hotels from around the world were nominated for the award, and awards were presented in 30 categories based on on-line votes from guests and industry professionals.

The global winner was the Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong, the Regent Esplanade Zagreb said in a statement. (Hina)
