​Wine marathon to take place in Zmajevac on 22-23 Sept

The 18th edition of the Wine Marathon, organised by the association Surduk, is taking place in Zmajevac in Baranja on 22-23 September, with about 40 local winemakers from Baranja taking part, and visitors from Hungary and Serbia will present their wines and traditional food.

The programme of this year's wine marathon was presented at a press conference on Thursday.

This is a unique wine, gastronomic and tourist event. In addition to local winemakers, winemakers from Hungary's wine region Villány and from Vojvodina will also be taking part.

The sponsor of the 18th Wine Marathon is the Democratic Union of Hungarians of Croatia (DZMH), whose president Robert Jankovics, a member of parliament, said that the event was an opportunity for small winemakers, about 30 of them, to present and sell their wines.
