Plava Laguna to continue major investment projects next year

This year the Plava Laguna hotel company has had the largest capital budget in its history, of HRK 500 million, and will continue major investment projects next year, the Porec-based company said in a statement earlier this week. The company plans to invest HRK 300 million in its facilities in Porec, Umag and Rijeka.

This year, Plava Laguna invested HRK 245 million in the Park Resort in Porec, which comprises 309 accommodation units, including 154 rooms and suites, 91 garden suites, 43 apartments and 21 villas.

In Umag, the company invested HRK 84 million in the complete reconstruction of the Stella Maris campsite and HRK 35 million in Garden Suites & Rooms Sol Umag.

"Key investments for the next year include the construction of a new office building in Porec and a thorough reconstruction of the Savudrija campsite, which includes new, additional facilities. The estimated value of the investment in the camp is HRK 46 million and it will be Plava Laguna's largest investment in Umag in 2019," the statement said.

It added that Savudrija would thus become a campsite for families and couples, offering mobile homes, glamping tents and facilities for "an active vacation".
