With the intention to continue the ongoing successful presentation of the Croatian tourist offer abroad, the Croatian National Tourist Board organizes on 19 January 2006 the event 'Croatian Tourist Day' in Moscow. The whole event is lead by Mladen Falkoni, head of the HTZ branch office in Russia.

This happening is of great important since it is expected that there will be a 20% increase in the number of Russian tourists visiting Croatia during the upcoming tourist season 2006. Last year’s numbers show that Croatia was visited by 82 000 Russian tourists who made 700 000 overnight stays.

The ‘’Croatian Tourist Day’’ includes a workshop organized for Russian and Croatian tourist operators, followed by the so-called ‘Croatian Night’ hosting representatives of the Moscow political scene, tourist operators and members of the media.

This day which allows an exchange of knowledge and experience as well as a presentation of national culture and gastronomy marks the beginning of a series of marketing activities which the HTZ will initiate on the Russian market.
