Japanese tourists interested in Croatia

Over the the past year, the interest of Japanese tourists in Croatia has increased, Attache in the Japanese Embassy in Croatia Atsushi Saitto said in Zagreb on Wednesday at a session entitled "Tourism - What Do Japanese Tourists Expect", organised by the Croatian Chamber of the Economy's council of the cultural tourism organisation.

In the first eight months of 2007, a total of 49,650 Japanese tourists visited Croatia, up 26 percent in relation to the same period the year before. In the same period the number of overnight-stays made by tourists from japan rose by 25 percent to 78,375.
