The intensive part of this year's promotion of Croatia's tourism at European tourist fairs has started with the presentation of Croatia's tourist services at international fairs in ten European cities, organized by the Croatian National Board of Tourism (HTZ).

The intensive promotion of Croatia's tourism at international fairs will last until April. Croatia will present its tourist services at a total of 74 fairs. The county will continue presenting its tourist services in November.

According to provisional information from some ten fairs held in January (in Utrecht, Vienna, Oslo, Stuttgart and other cities), Croatia is an interesting tourism destination, the HTZ reported.

This year, Croatia's tourist services will be presented at a total of 101 fairs.

The HTZ plans to spend three percent less than last year on the promotion of Croatia's tourism, namely HRK 28.5 million (approx. EUR 3.85 million) or 14 percent of the total the HTZ total expenditure for 2006.(Hina)
