Germany negotiates travel regime with tourism countries
German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas will talk on Monday with his counterparts from the countries to which German tourists travel the most, including Croatia, about the possibilities of coordinating quarantine rules and rules for cross-border travelling.
Foreign ministers of Croatia, Slovenia, Spain, Austria, Bulgaria, Portugal, Malta, and Cyprus will take part in the video conference, it was reported by the German news agency Dpa, quoting sources in the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The aim of the meeting is to coordinate rules and measures when entering the countries in question by the start of this years' summer season in mid-June.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs travel alert, advising German citizens not to travel abroad, is valid until mid-June.
The requirement for making travel easier is keeping the number of coronavirus infections at the present low rates.
