First Croatian Rafting Regatta

Under the aegis of the Ministry of the Sea, Tourism, Transport and Development will be organized the Croatian rafting regatta 'Zrmanja 2006', and Minister Božidar Kalmeta has accepted the role of the head of the organization committee.

The regatta will be organized from 28-30 April 2006, near the town Obrovac at the Zrmanja River in the organization of the Rafting center 'Kanjon Zrmanja'.

Also ongoing are preparations for founding a state rafting league which would make it possible for Croatia to have its own national team for competing on an international level.

This regatta has a tourist-sport-recreational character and it is open for all those who enjoy this sport.
