Croatian partner country at tourism fair in Belgrade
The 33rd International Fair of Tourism in Belgrade, at which Croatia is partner country, was opened on Thursday.
The fair, which will be opened until 27 February, features 900 exhibitors from 43 countries.
Croatia will be presented separately as a tourist destination.
A state secretary in the Croatian Tourism Ministry, Ivo Mujo, said that after Croatia accepted the invitation to be partner country at the fair, its presentation in Belgrade got a whole new dimension.
The cooperation can also be seen in the introduction of new flights between Belgrade and destinations in Croatia, Mujo said, adding this would also enable better communication and tourist flow.
"Guests from Serbia are important to Croatia, but this is not a one-way street, as the number of Croatian tourists in Serbia is also increasing," Mujo said at the opening of the fair.
The opening of the fair was also attended by Croatia Airlines director general Srecko Simunovic and Jat Airways executive director Dragan Breneselovic, who said regular flights between Dubrovnik and Belgrade would be introduced on 20 June. Flights will operated twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays, until 7 September. (Hina)
