Croatian Automobile Club selects best camps

The best large camp in Croatia is the Strasko camp on the island of Pag, the best medium-sized camp is "Oaza Mira" at Drage near Pakostane, and the "Palme" camp at Kucista on the peninsula of Peljesac is the best small camp, according to findings of a survey carried out by the Croatian Automobile Club (HAK) from 1 July to 24 August this year. HAK reported on Monday that awards also went to the camps at Zaton near Zadar, Politin on the island of Krk and Jasenovo near Sibenik for maintaining a high quality of their services.HAK surveyed a total of 84 camps in cooperation with the Croatian Camping Union and the Croatian Camping Association. The results of the test were presented during Croatian Tourism Days, which were held in Sibenik last week, During that event it was said that overnight stays in camps accounted for 24 per cent of overnight stays of guests in Croatia's tourism.
