Croatia and Turkey Most Favorite Last Minute Destinations in Germany this Summer

Croatia and Turkey were the two favorite ''last minute'' destinations of German tourists this summer, shows a poll conducted by the European Tourism Institute from Trier, Germany.

The Croatian Tourist Board, which carried these findings, has said that the poll, conducted by phone, covered 1,050 persons, of whom 50% decided on the destination of their summer holidays only after March, while as many as 63% opted for last minute packages.

The same Institute has reported that despite the growing attraction of Croatia and Turkey, most German tourists spent their summer holidays at home (32%), Italy (11%) and Spain (9%). (Hina)
