The Croatian-Canadian Business Network (CCBN) has organised a week-long visit to Croatia of a delegation of tourism workers from the network of travel agencies owned by the Canadian Automobile Association, CAA Quebec Voyages, who will arrive on Saturday and during their stay visit several places in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as Bled in Slovenia.

The visit is co-organised by the Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK) in cooperation with the Croatian Tourism Board and the Zagreb Tourism Board.

After visiting Zagreb, the Canadian delegation will visit Plitvice Lakes, Trogir, Hvar and Dubrovnik, as well as Sarajevo and Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Bled in Slovenia.

The HGK said that the network of travel agencies owned by the CAA Quebec was present in 16 cities across Quebec and employed more than 160 travel agents and managers.

Last year, the CCBN and the HGK organised a visit of a Croatian business delegation to Toronto.

Six Croatian companies agreed concrete business deals as a result of the visit, and a few more are conducting negotiations with Canadian companies.

The visit was organised shortly before Croatia joined the EU and ahead of the signing of a free trade agreement between the EU and Canada. The agreement was signed in the meantime and it will go into force in 2015.
