ACI says no cancellations of berth service by Russians on a larger scale
Adriatic Croatia International Club (ACI), which operates 22 marinas in the Croatian Adriatic, said on Monday that for the time being there are no cancellations of berths or departures of vessels owned by Russians on a larger scale.
The company notes that agreements with Russian boaters on annual berth rental account for a mere one percent of all contracts, and the number of contracts on annual berth rental with Ukrainians is even smaller.According to a press release issued on the Zagreb Stock Exchange concerning the topic of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the company admits that it is difficult to predict how the situation will unfold in Ukraine and what its repercussions for Europe and the rest of the world will be, however, ACI underscores that its services of monthly and annual berth rental are paid in advance, as a rule.
Thus, the risk of payment delays is not significant for the time being, the operator says.
In 2021, ACI's net profit totalled HRK 13.4 million, as against HRK 198,000 in 2020.
On 31 December 2021, 3,290 boats were registered as using ACI's annual berth rental service.
