After a debate that lasted the whole day, the Croatian parliament on Wednesday evening voted confidence in Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic and his government. Of 139 MPs attending the session, 91 voted for the new government, 45 voted against and three abstained. After the vote, the new ministers were sworn in.

28.09.2016. | PageCroatia recorded 13.63 million tourist arrivals and 80.24 million bed nights in the period from 1 January to 9 September 2016, more than in all of 2015, the Croatian Tourism Board (HTZ) said in a statement on Friday, citing data from the eVisitor and eCrew check-in and check-out information systems. "Since the start of the year we have generated over 80 million tourist nights, surpassing the results achieved in all 12 months of 2015. These results would not have been possible without cooperation between the public and private sectors, the innovativeness and commitment to work of all our tourist workers," Tourism Minister Anton Kliman was quoted as saying.

02.09.2016. | PageIn July 2016 Zagreb recorded a 12% increase in tourist arrivals on the year and a 34% increase in overnights, the city tourism authority reported on Thursday, saying that the positive trend would continue in the coming months. This July, Zagreb recorded a total of 128,243 visitor arrivals and 253,192 overnights. The most numerous tourists were from South Korea, Germany, Spain, the United States and Great Britain.
