ACI doubles its net profit in 2017Croatia's nautical tourism company Adriatic Croatia International Club (ACI) last year generated a net profit totalling HRK 20.3 million, which is nearly 86% more than in 2016, ACI said in a press release on Wednesday. ACI's total revenues in 2017 amounted to HRK 201.1 million, while total expenditures reached HRK 176.1 million. The company's gross profit reached HRK 25 million, up 77% on the year. Business revenues, namely revenues from nautical activities, amounted to HRK 190 million, up one percent on the year. The company's biggest investment project in 2017 was the complete overhaul of the ACI marina in the northern Adriatic resort of Rovinj, the press release said. 28.02.2018. | News
Croatian, Maltese chambers of commerce sign cooperation agreementThe Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK) and the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry on Monday signed a cooperation agreement in Zagreb as part of a business forum, underscoring the big potential for cooperation, particularly in tourism. One more Croatian hotel company raises wages of its employeesPlava Laguna on Tuesday signed a few agreements and an annex to the collective agreement whereby salaries of employees of that Porec-based hotel company would increase by 7% on average. The rise in salaries and other entitlements are a result of negotiations held between the management and two trade unions that insisted on equalising the entitlements of Plava Laguna and the Istraturist company after the latter was acquired by Plava Laguna. Valamar Riviera to increase employee salariesThe Valamar Riviera hotel company has decided to increase its wage budget by 11.5% in 2018 with focus on a rise in salaries of basic occupations in the company and the increase has been agreed to with two trade unions in the company, the Porec-based company stated in a press release on Monday.
