Government adopts regulation to stimulate investment in tourism
The government on Thursday adopted a regulation to stimulate investment in tourism, calling it the most significant instrument for that purpose. Speaking at a cabinet session, Tourism Minister Nikolina Brnjac said the regulation was aligned with the General Block Exemption Regulation and the law on state aid, and that it defined the compatibility of state aid under the Tourism Act and rules on the allocation of state aid for investments.

€106m in grants awarded for 16 public tourism infrastructure projects
Tourism Minister Nikolina Brnjac on Thursday awarded €106.4 million in grants for 16 projects of construction and update of public tourism infrastructure and health and wellness tourism. The grants were allocated under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) for regional diversification and specialisation of Croatia's tourism industry through investment in tourism products of high added value.

In Croatia, there have been more travellers and overnight stays this year to date than in the corresponding period of 2023, and the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ), hoteliers and travel agencies expect the continuation of positive trends during the Easter holidays.
