At the 55th annual assembly of the International Coach Tourism Federation (RDA), taking place in Zadar, 5-9 April, the 200 participants enjoyed also a presentation regarding the latest Croatian tourist offer.
In 2005 Croatia counted approximately 1.6 million German tourists, which resulted in 11 million tourist nights. All in all, 80% of all Croatian tourists come from European countries and Germany traditionally holds the leading position.
Before the War, Croatia used to be an important destination for coach tourism, but the road quality used to be a problem. Today Croatia has roads according to European standards and it is quite realistic to expect that the representatives of German coach tour operators will include Croatia into their future programs and offers. It is one of Croatia’s goals to achieve the number of 2 million German tourists by the year 2010.
