In order to achieve better information flow and the promotion of cultural – tourist products the Community for Cultural Tourism within the Croatian Chamber of Economy, founded the 'Business Club for Cultural Tourism', which was established as a market of ideas and a place for associating, space for regular meetings and presentations of the best projects in cultural tourism.
This was explained today at the press-conference by the head of the department in question, Ondina Šegvić, adding that the Business Club would serve for the presentation of successful and creative projects, i.e. future case studies.
Some of the upcoming events to be presented at the Business Club are the activities: Museum of the Croatian Zagorje – Knights Tournament, Days of Andautonija, the House of Batana…
According to the Community's president, Tomislav Šola, the cultural component in the tourist offer seems to be marginalized, at the moment. The affirmation of culture in tourism should be based on quality in order to prevent it from turning into pure goods. For that it would be necessary to create coordination between science, cultural institutions and the economy.
The current groups of the Club are the group of travel agencies, museum tourism, archeological tourism and for the interpretation of heritage.
Future groups should be dedicated to historical and traditional accommodation, historical halls for conferences as well as creative tourism.
