The reform of the tourist sector and the implementation of the investments is a precondition for the tourism sector to use the projected amount of HRK 2.2 billion by 2026, where the intensity of support per project could reach 100% of co-financing. The amount of HRK 2.2 billion will be granted based on the public invitation that the Ministry will launch after the adoption of the Plan, where 60% of allocated funds should be intended for entrepreneurs to encourage direct investments in the private sector.
The remaining part of the funds is intended for investments in a public tourism infrastructure, but they are also available for private entrepreneurs within the frame of public-private partnership and thus contribute to the complete recovery of the economy.
All projects must be in correlation to the reform of the tourism sector, contribute to the green and digital transition and be an example of excellence of the sustainable design, as well as of sustainable technological solutions.
The tourism development index will be one of the criteria for selecting projects.
The reform of the tourism sector and the investments is in accordance with the strategic framework and policies defined by the Government Programme, National Reform Programmes and the National Development Strategy.
