Web portal on business tourism launched

The Zagreb-based company "Centar za poslovni turizam" on Monday launched the web portal PoslovniTurizam.com with information on congress and business tourism in Croatia and on 150 hotels and other facilities, specialised agencies, supporting services and other information on Croatia.

The portal was designed as a new central place of the national congress industry, project head Darko Seva said, adding that he expected it to contribute to the development of that segment of the tourism industry.

Apart from promoting Croatia as a congress destination, the portal is expected to make it easier for organisers of congresses and other meetings to find desired venues and services, as well as to integrate the congress industry.

At present the portal is available only in Croatian, and its English version should be available as of next year, Seva said, announcing plans to expand the portal to other countries in the region. (Hina)
