The Victor Hugo, one of the biggest river cruise ships, which sails under the French flag, on Monday docked in Sisak, Croatia's westernmost river port, bringing 80 tourists.

After a break of a couple of years due to the pandemic and the 2020 earthquakes, the cruise ship has once again brought tourists to Sisak, mainly from Switzerland, Germany and France.

The ship will stay in Sisak three days. Today the passengers visited the Lonjsko Polje Nature Park, while tomorrow they can see the traditional Sisak Flower Fair and the city's sights.

The Victor Hugo has 52 passenger cabins, is 82 metres long and 9.5 metres wide, and has a deadweight of 550 tonnes. This is its fourth visit to Sisak, at the end of which, due to its length, it will have to sail backwards along the Kupa until it reaches the Sava, where it can turn around.
