The reorganisation of the tourism system in Croatia can serve as an example to others, the Secretary General of the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), Zurab Pololikashvili, said during a meeting with a Croatian delegation attending the ITB travel show in Berlin. I welcome this system reorganisation and would like to single out Croatia as an example to other countries that have not yet revamped their tourism organisations in this way, Pololikashvili said during a meeting with Croatian Tourism Ministry officials Tonci Glavina and Barbara Mesic.

He also welcomed bills that are in the process of being adopted with the aim of increasing the efficiency of the system, especially at regional and local levels, and promoting a systematic approach to destination management.

Pololikashvili said that 2020 was ideal for Croatia to host a large investment forum, adding that more details would be known after May when he was due to meet with Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic and Tourism Minister Gari Cappelli in Zagreb. (Hina)
