​Tourists visiting Rijeka on cruise ships spend EUR 25 on average per day

Tourists visiting the northern Adriatic city of Rijeka on cruise ships spend an average of EUR 25 a day and 85% of them are satisfied which what Rijeka has to offer, according to a survey on the spending habits of passengers and crew members on cruise ships carried out by the Rijeka Maritime Faculty. The results of the survey, presented on Wednesday, show that 98% of the cruise ship passengers were first time visitors in Rijeka. 

These are good results, given that 12-15% of travellers are returning to destinations they have previously visited.

Although the average spending by tourists visiting Rijeka on cruise ships is good, the objective is to raise that amount from EUR 25 to EUR 36 a day.

A total of 432 people took part in the survey.
