Tourism Ministry optimistic about spring season

The Tourism Ministry predicts positive results in the spring season, and a survey it has conducted among the 38 biggest tourism companies shows that they expect a 6% increase in the number of tourist arrivals and a 4.5% rise in the number of bed/nights in the April-June period.

Tourist arrivals in April are expected to be at last year's levels, May could be much better as two-digit increases are predicted, while June could reach last year's levels because booking is still in progress, the ministry said in a statement on Wednesday. (Hina)
