Over 483 airline services, mostly from Germany, the UK, France, the Netherlands and Italy, are expected in Croatia this summer, and if all goes according to plan, a two-digit rise in flight operations is expected as against the summer of 2022, the Croatian Tourism Board (HTZ) said on Wednesday.

Information on the expected number of flight services on this year's summer schedule was obtained from airports, the HTZ says, noting that changes are possible.

HTZ director Kristjan Staničić said that the large number of flight services confirmed Croatia's popularity on the global travel destinations map.

During the summer flight schedule, Croatia will be connected with 130 cities, a dozen more than in 2022, in 38 countries, mostly in Europe, with connecting flights to destinations in the USA, Canada, Israel, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

The flights will be operated by 57 airlines, as against some 50 in 2022, mostly by Croatia Airlines, Ryanair, Easyjet, Eurowings and Lufthansa. Flights will also be operated by low-cost or charter operators Aeroitalia, Air Connect, Braathens Airlines, Enter Air, Jettime, and Peoples Viennaline.
