Tourism and Sport Minister Nikolina Brnjac said on Friday that there was no evidence that a group of foreign tourists had contracted the coronavirus disease on Pag island.

"There is no proof of where the guests got infected," the minister said in an interview with Nova TV, adding that everyone in the tourist sector was adhering strictly to all epidemiological measures and that Croatia was a safe destination.

The minister was commenting on a report on the German T-online.de portal which said that 10 German graduate students who had been on Pag for an excursion had returned infected with the coronavirus and were currently in self-isolation. (Hina)
