In the first two months of 2024, the number of German travellers visiting Croatia rose 7% compared to the same period in 2023, and analyses of the German Travel Association (DRV) hint at good demand and bookings from Germany, Croatian Tourism Minister Nikolina Brnjac said in Berlin on Monday.

Brnjac met with DRV executives ahead of the start of the ITB tourism trade fair in the German capital city on Tuesday, and after their meeting in Croatia's embassy, she said that the meeting had focused on developments on the German market and the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the tourism industry.

Currently, Croatia is the fourth most sought-after destination in Germany for 2024.

The DRV representatives, Volker Adams and Oliver Zahn, said that the demand for Croatia in Germany was currently good.

The director-general of the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ), Kristjan Staničić, described the meeting as excellent.

We have also presented new hotel capacities which will be opened in Croatia this year, Staničić said.
