In January and February 2019, the number of tourists visiting Croatia rose by 9% compared to the corresponding period in 2018, according to figures collected by the e-visitor system. In the first two months of this year, 485,000 holidaymakers visited Croatia making 1.3 million overnight stays, up 4% year on year. Foreign visitors made up 60% of all tourists. Their number rose by 11% to 297,000 and their overnight stays increased by 5% to 792,000.
Visits by domestic tourists increased by 6% and their overnight stays rose by 4%, according to figures released by the National Tourism Board (HTZ) on Monday. (Hina)
