Health Minister Vili Beroš and the head of the Croatian Institute of Public Health, Krunoslav Capak, participated in a drive to vaccinate local tourist workers against coronavirus in Pula on Saturday.

On that occasion, Minister Beroš called on Croatians to continue getting vaccinated, and said that it was extremely important to inoculate workers in the tourist sector.

Capak said that vaccinating tourism workers "is a trump card to attract more tourists to come during this season."

Beroš pushed for raising awareness of the importance of inoculating the population.

Immunisation and reducing health risks to the lowest possible level enables us to have more and more activities, the minister explained.

He said that citizens should be aware that inoculation "is the most powerful tool in the struggle against the (COVID) epidemic."
