HTZ: Croatia among top five foreign destinations for Germans in 2024

Croatia is likely to make the top five foreign destinations for Germans in 2024, according to  the findings of a survey of the German FUR institute, the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ) said on Thursday, during Croatia's participation in the ongoing the CMT travel fair in Stuttgart.

Th HTZ and 16 companies and boards from the travel sector are presenting Croatia's offer at the fair, which is being held from 13 to 21 January.

The CMT fair attracts the attention of the general public in Baden-Württemberg, one of the most developed inbound markets, HTZ director Kristjan Staničić said, among other things.

The survey among 7,000 respondents shows that in 2024, Germans are planning about 70 million holiday trips which will last at least five days.

Destinations in Germany remain the most desirable for them. Considering foreign destinations, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Croatia, Austria and Greece are the most sought-after destinations.
