HBOR extends moratoriums on loan repayments until 30 September
The Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development (HBOR) has extended moratoriums on loan repayments for all clients for seven months or until 30 September, while moratoriums for clients from the tourism sector have been extended for 16 months or until 30 June 2021, the bank announced on Thursday.
The reason for extending the moratoriums is that Croatian businesses are still affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, HBOR said.HBOR recalled that it had announced this possibility already in March when it enabled loan rescheduling and a moratorium on loan repayments until 30 June to alleviate the negative impact of the pandemic.
Nearly 1,500 of HBOR's clients have so far agreed to use the moratorium, and since businesses are still suffering from the economic consequences of the pandemic and bearing in mind the still difficult working conditions, HBOR has enabled an extension of the moratoriums and offered new terms of loan repayment and rescheduling, HBOR Board President Tamara Perko said.
