Festival of traditional gastronomic cuisine to be held in Vrbovec next weekend

The 30th edition of the presentation of traditional gastronomy in Vrbovec will be held in that town, 35 kilometres northeast of Zagreb, from 27 to 29 August.

The three-day festival of the traditional gastronomic cuisine called "Kaj Su Jeli Nasi Stari" also includes other events promoting the lore of that region, the organisers of this main annual event in Vrbovec told a news conference in Zagreb last Tuesday.

There will be workshops presenting old crafts and trades and traditional costumes.

The Croatian Railways company will operate a special train from Zagreb to Vrbovec on Saturday, 28 August, and Sunday, 29 August, for this occasion. (Hina)
