Croatia's tourist intake 4.6 million in H1 2016

The tourist intake in Croatia in the first half of 2016 was 4.6 million, and they generated 18.3 million overnight stays, according to eVisitor, an information system for check-in and check-out of tourists applied by the National Tourist Board (HTZ).

In June alone, slightly below 1.9 million tourists visited Croatia and made 9.4 million overnight stays, and a majority of tourists came from Germany, Slovenia, Austria, the Czech Republic ans Poland, the HTZ has reported.

In the first weekend in July, that is on 1-3 July, 371,600 tourists were checked in by the eVisitor application. Top top destinations were Rovinj, Porec, Dubrovnik, Medulin and Umag.
