The Dalmatian brunch is a new gastronomy and tourist product that Croatia Airlines will give passengers on all its flights from 1 April to 31 July, Split-Dalmatia County tourism officials told the press in Split on Tuesday.

The Dalmatian brunch comprises the region's gastronomic specialties - smoked ham, mandulat dessert, tomato sauce, arancini, and olive oil and rosemary crackers, said the director of the County Tourist Board, Ivana Vladović. "We want the passengers on Croatia Airlines flights to experience Dalmatia."

As a destination, Dalmatia is recognised for healthy Mediterranean food and diet, and it is time this was underlined as an advantage, she said, inviting tourists to come to Dalmatia and taste the Dalmatian snack.

As of this year, the perspective of our tourism is changing so that one does not count tourists but that they are satisfied, said Alijana Vukušić, director of the Split Tourist Board. "Our wish is that the tourists in Dalmatia have an experience."
