Bosnia and Herzegovina relaxes border regime to help tourism sector
The government of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Friday relaxed its border regime after several protests were held by domestic tourism workers who believe that move is key to salvaging the tourist season.
Since October 2020, as part of epidemiological restrictions imposed to curb the spread of coronavirus, entry into the country was allowed to foreign nationals with a negative PCR test. A negative test to enter the country was also required of BiH nationals as well as nationals of the neighbouring countries Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro. In addition to a negative PCR test, foreign nationals will now be able to enter the country also with a negative antigen test or a certificate proving that they have been vaccinated against COVID-19 or have recovered from it.
