Vučić said that in 2023 Serbia was the first world destination in terms of the rate of increase of revenue from foreign arrivals, of 79% from 2019, with the revenue of €2.55 billion being three and a half times higher than in 2012.

Of the 12.4 million overnight stays in 2023, 5.5 million were made by foreign visitors, Vučić said, noting that arrivals and overnight stays this year so far were 3% and 19% up from the same period of 2023.

Serbs and Greeks share a common history, cultural ties, struggle for freedom and a prosperous and safe regional future, Kefalogianni said in an address at the event, noting that her country was looking forward to welcoming Serbian tourists this summer again.

Vučić called on his compatriots to visit Greece as well as other countries participating in the fair.
