2011 sees 8 pct more tourist arrivals, 7 pct more nights y-o-y

Eight per cent more tourist arrivals and seven per cent more nights on the year were recorded along Croatia's Adriatic coast and in Zagreb in 2011, the National Tourist Board said on Tuesday.

Croatia logged 11.2 million arrivals and more than 65.1 million nights last year.

Foreign tourists accounted for eight per cent more arrivals on the year, a total of 9.9 million. They generated 58.4 million nights, an increase of seven per cent.

Domestic tourists accounted for 1.3 million arrivals, up four per cent on 2010, and 6.7 million nights, up five per cent. (Hina)
