Croatian tourism minister on visit to Russia

Croatian Tourism Minister Damir Bajs, who is on a visit to Moscow on 13-16 June, held talks with some 15 leading Russian tour operators on Tuesday, the Croatian ministry reported on Wednesday. After the talks Minister Bajs expressed expectations of the continuation of a rise in the number of Russians spending holidays in Croatia. The minister said that Russia had become the fastest growing market for the Croatian tourist trade in term of turnover.

10,000 tourists from Russia to arrive in Dubrovnik on board Aeroflot

The first airplane of the Russian air carrier Aeroflot with some 50 passengers aboard landed at Dubrovnik airport on Wednesday. The next flight from Moscow, scheduled for Friday, is sold out. Dubrovnik airport authorities estimate that some 10,000 Russian tourists will arrive in Dubrovnik aboard Aeroflot aircraft this summer. The direct flight Dubrovnik-Moscow will operate until the end of September - three times a week in June and on a daily basis as of 1 July.
