Espadrilles with a traditional gingerbread heart motif and embellished with Swarovski crystals were launched in Zagreb on Monday as a new Croatian souvenir, designed in collaboration between the Borovo shoe factory and the Croatian fashion brand Hippy Garden. The espadrilles are hand-made from natural materials and come packed in a recycled box of state-of-the-art design, Hippy Garden fashion designer Djurdjica Vorkapic said.

26.04.2016. | PageA bill on land for tourism purposes should be prepared by the year's end, Tourism Minister Anton Kliman said on Friday in Funtana in Istria County, where he was attending a meeting of the Croatian Camping Union (KUH). "I believe that a bill will be prepared by the end of the year and KUH representatives will be involved in writing the bill," Kliman said. According to Kliman, a new investment cycle in the camping sector is expected to start then as well, as it accounts for 25% of Croatia's tourism.
22.04.2016. | PageThis year's 18th Croatia Boat Show will be held in the central Dalmatian city of Split, April 13 - 17 and will see twice as many boats as were exhibited last year with as many as 65 vessels in the sea, the fair's organisers said on Friday. The fair will be larger than last year due to a recovery of the nautical sector, representatives of the Profectus company, that organises the fair, told a press conference.
12.04.2016. | PageCroatia's 121 boating ports generated a total revenue of HRK 753 million without Value Added Tax (VAT) in 2015, which was an increase of 5.1% on the year, with the highest increase in revenue being recorded in services at those ports, the State Bureau of Statistics (DZS) has reported. Even though the major part of revenue or almost 70% referred to the rental of berths, last year revenue from rentals dropped by 1.6% y-on-y. Revenue from rentals in 2015 amounted to HRK 519 million. Last year there was a total of 121 boating ports in Croatia, nine more than in 2014, with around 17,350 berths. Seventy of these ports were marinas while the remaining 51 were other ports.
29.03.2016. | PageCroatian Deputy Tourism Minister Robert Pauletic met with Russian government officials in charge of tourism at one of Russia's largest tourism fairs, MITT, which opened in Moscow on Wednesday. Pauletic met with Olga Yarilova, head of the Tourism and Regional Policy Department, and Olga Andonieva, acting head of the International Cooperation Department of the Russian Ministry of Culture, who expressed their satisfaction over the establishment of a Russian-Croatian Working Group on Tourism Cooperation.
