Tourism minister: 2019 could be up to 3% better than last yearThe peak tourism season could be at the level of last year's while turnover by the end of the year could be up by three percent compared to last year, Tourism Minister Gari Cappelli said at a meeting of Istria hoteliers in Rovinj on Tuesday, the ministry said in a press release. Cappelli met with executives of the hotel industry and camping sites and discussed the situation with bookings for the summer season and tourism results to date, current issues relating to new legislation that concerns the hotel industry and tourism business in general as well as the situation with the labour force and possibilities of long term solutions to ensure additional qualified staff in tourism and hospitality. 21.05.2019. | News

Croatian tourism promoted at Arabian Travel Market in DubaiThe Croatian National Tourism Board (HTZ) and seven more co-exhibitors are promoting Croatia's tourism trade at the ATM - Arabian Travel Market show, which is taking place in Dubai from 28 April to 1 May. During 2018, the number of guests from the United Arab Emirates to Croatia increased by 28% to 11,000 and their overnight stays rose by 10% to 25,000 year on year. ACI marina worth HRK 150 mn opens in RovinjA new ACI marina worth HRK 150 million, the greatest investment ever by the Adriatic Croatian International Club known as ACI, was formally opened in the northern coastal town of Rovinj on Friday. The marina has a five-anchor rating and was opened by Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic with several government ministers present at the ceremony. The Rovinj ACI marina is also one of the largest for the nautical tourism sector in Croatia and is located immediately next to the recently opened Grand Park Hotel, the most luxurious facility in this part of the Adriatic. 26.04.2019. | News
