The annual convention of the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) was opened in Dubrovnik on Sunday, with 550 participants in attendance.
A press conference was held with Croatian National Tourist Board president Meri Matesic and ABTA president Noel Josephides.
The convention is a big recognition to Croatia and Dubrovnik as well as a confirmation of the growing popularity of Croatia as a destination among British tourists, it was said.
The first nine months of 2013 saw a 25 per cent increase in British arrivals and bed/nights in Croatia year on year.
This was ABTA's first convention in Dubrovnik.
