Speaking about camping and nautical tourism, Minister Lorencin informed the German partners that Croatia's tourism strategy until 2020 foresees investments to construct new camps and the reconstruction of existing camps as well as providing additional berths at marinas.
He said that he and Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transportation and Infrastructure Sinisa Hajdas Doncic had held a meeting with Slovenia's infrastructure minister concerning the dynamics of the construction of a motorway leg that will connect Croatia's northern Medjimurje County with Istria and Slovenia, which will greatly facilitate tourist arrivals from Germany.
Lorencin and Matesic met with Bavarian reporters and informed them of Croatia's tourism results for this year, underscoring that German tourists were the most important to Croatia.
In order to boost consumption, it is necessary to develop new tourism products, like cultural, sporting, culinary, adventure, rural, mountain, business, health and wellness tourism, he said. (Hina)
