Participants in the three-month expedition "Walking the Via Dinarica", which started in August in Albania, arrived in Plitvice Lake, the starting point of their section through Croatia, on Saturday.
The expedition "Walking the Via Dinarica", ??linking high mountain ranges of the Dinarides with the start in Albania and the finish in Slovenia was supported by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) that has described this adventure as pioneering.
During the three-month journey through five countries, mountaineer Kenan Muftic and photographer Elma Okic are expected to create the largest collection of photos and videos that promote this entire region and its local, regional and international tourism.
The Croatian route includes Mounts Biokovo, Mosor, Promina, Dinara, Velebit, Kapela, Risnjak and Snjeznik.
The expedition was organized in the framework of the project Via Dinarica, implemented by the Adventure Tourism Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ATA BiH), which is supported by the UNDP, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Government of Japan under the project "Clean Vrbas.
