British Airways on Monday re-introduced direct Zagreb - London (Heathrow) flights after a ten year interval. Flights on Airbus A319/A320 planes will connect the two capitals on a daily basis.
British Airways regional director for central and eastern Europe Katja Selle expressed her satisfaction at the re-introduction of direct flights between the two cities. Selle highlighted the excellent connecting flights to overseas destination which Zagreb Airport director Mirsolav Drljaca appreciated as a way of connecting Zagreb with the world. The first flight was ceremoniously awaited today at Zagreb airport and in attendance was UK Ambassador to Croatia David Slinn as well as Croatia's Ambassador to the UK Ivan Grdesic who said this was another step in partner like relations between the two countries.
