The EUR 1.24 million project "Wine Tour", aimed at promoting and developing wine tourism in Osijek-Baranja County, reducing unemployment and raising quality of the continental tourism as an economic priority, was launched in that eastern county on Thursday.
The project was launched by County Prefect Vladimir Sisljagic who said that the programme foresees three main activities - landscaping on the existing wine routes, establishment of four mini museums, a wine museum and the promotion.
The agreement on non-repayable funds earmarked for the implementation of the Wine Tour project , as part of the IPA Regional Competitiveness Programme was signed on 29 February and its implementation started on 1 March. The project will be completed in 18 months, Sisljagic said.
The European Union secured EUR 936,389 and the county and its partners must secure additional EUR 312,000. (Hina)
