The Croatian stand at the Ukraine International Travel and Tourism Exhibition (UITT) in Kiev has received an award for the best effects, the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ) said on Friday, adding that 700 exhibitors competed for the award.
The HTZ's new stand was redesigned after ten years and presented for the first time at the World Travel Market in London in late 2011.
The stand combines visual identity, special effects and functionalism. It was designed by Atelier Propadalo.
The stand already won an award at a Belgrade fair in February and second price at a tourism fair in Prague.
The Kiev fair is taking place on March 28-30.
Last year 56,000 Ukrainian tourists vacationed in Croatia, accounting for 393,000 nights, up 12.4 and 13.6 per cent from 2010 respectively.
The announcements for this year could exceed last year's figures, said the HTZ. (Hina)
