The cruise ship season started in the southern Adriatic city of Split on Friday with the arrival of the MSC Musica with a 950-strong crew and 3,000 passengers on board.
Most of the guests aboard were Italians, Germans, Spaniards and Belgians. Some of them went sightseeing in Split and some travelled to southern Bosnia and Herzegovina to visit the world-famous Marian shrine of Medjugorje.
A total of 272 cruise ships with about 200,000 tourists are scheduled to visit Split this year. (Hina)
