In the first eleven months of 2010, 10.45 million tourists vacationed in Croatia, which is 3.3 percent more than in the same period of 2009. The number of overnight stays rose by 2.6 percent to HRK 56.08 million, according to first figures released by the Croatian Bureau of Statistics.
There were 9.03 foreign tourists, 4.8 percent more than in the previous year, and they made 50.8 million overnight stays, up 3.6 percent.
The number of domestic arrivals dropped 5.5 percent to 1.42 million, and they made 5.27 million overnight stays, six percent down.
Germans were the most numerous foreign tourists, accounting for 22.5 percent of all foreign arrivals. They were followed by Slovenians, with an 11.5 percent share in foreign arrivals, and Italians with a 9.2 percent share. (Hina)
