There are currently 930,000 travellers staying in Croatia, and the number of arrivals is up by 5% and tourist nights are up 2% than in the corresponding period last year.
The data were presented at a coordinating meeting of the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ) and the HTZ office in Split-Dalmatia County in Split on Wednesday.
HTZ Director Kristjan Staničić said that the meeting revolved around marketing and advertising activities until the end of this year.
As for statistics, Staničić said that the number of guests in Croatia would soon reach one million.
Staničić said he was satisfied with the information presented at the meeting.
There are certain challenges, however, it is always important to underscore the synergy of the system of HTZ offices and branches and the private and public sectors in efforts to address the challenges and keep Croatia as one of the most sought-after and popular Mediterranean destinations, he said.
He called on common sense in raising prices and that any price increase should be coupled with enhancing the service.
