On the occasion of promotion of the Warsaw-Split flight service, 180 executives and representatives from the Polish tourism industry arrived in the biggest Croatian coastal city on Friday.
The delegation consisting of representatives of Poland's LOT air carrier, Polish tour operators, travel agencies and travel bloggers were welcomed by the director-general of the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ), Kristjan Staničić, at Split Airport.
LOT Polish Airlines, which started flying to Croatia in 2011, has transported over 800,000 passengers to Croatia since then, Michal Fijol, a representative of the air company, said.
In 2023, over a million Poles visited Croatia and made 6.7 million overnight stays.
Poland is one of the five leading markets for Croatia's tourism trade.
